Ichchhakamana: The Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality has successfully constructed a chilling centre designed to store agricultural products, providing much-needed support to local farmers.
According to National News Agency RSS, the rural municipality revealed that the facility, also known as a cold store, was established at its Agriculture Building in the Phisling area, with an investment of Rs 2 million. This initiative aims to alleviate the pressure on farmers to sell their products at low prices, as stated by Dan Bahadur Gurung, Chairman of Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality.
Chairman Gurung emphasized that the construction of such facilities is a response to the demands and needs of farmers, and similar projects will be developed in the future. The Agriculture Building itself serves as a hub for the collection and sale of agricultural products, with two agricultural cooperative organizations and farmers’ groups collaborating for the collection and distribution of local commodities in the Phisling area.
In
addition, Chairman Gurung disclosed plans to supply seeds, fertilizers, and agricultural tools to farmers through cooperative organizations, further supporting the local agricultural community.
