Industry Minister Bhandari Returns from Four-Day Official Visit to India.


Kathmandu: Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari, has returned to Nepal after concluding a four-day official visit to India. His visit included participation in the 29th Partnership Summit held in New Delhi from December 3 to 4.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister Bhandari engaged in discussions with several prominent Indian leaders on the sidelines of the summit. He met with Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale, In-Charge of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Foreign Department; India’s Minister for External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar; Minister for Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal; Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri; Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Pralhad Joshi; and office bearers of the Indian Confederation of Industries.

The meetings focused on reinforcing Nepal-India relations, addressing border issues affecting Nepali citizens, and ensuring the steady supply of essential goods from India to Nepal. Minister Bhandari emphasized
the importance of enhancing Nepal’s export capabilities to the Indian market.

Further discussions covered the development of the Sligudhi-Jhapa and Amlekhgunj-Chitwan petroleum pipelines, encouraging Indian investment in Nepal, and the operationalization of the Belauri transit point in Kanchanpur.
