Janamat Party Withdraws Chief Minister and Ministers from Madhes Province Government

Kathmandu: The Janamat Party has officially called back the Chief Minister and ministers from the Madhes Province government. This significant move was announced by the party’s parliamentary leader, Mahesh Prasad Yadav, who issued a press statement confirming the withdrawal.

According to National News Agency Nepal, the leaders being recalled include Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh, Minister for Forests and Environment Sanjaya Yadav, and Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism Basanta Kushwaha. The Janamat Party has formally communicated its decision to the Office of the Province Chief, indicating its departure from the provincial government.

Chief Minister Singh had previously announced his intention to resign via Facebook during the Gen Z movement on September 8 and 9. However, he did not provide a formal written resignation to the office of the provincial chief. Today, media outlets have criticized Singh for not following through with his resignation despite his social media announcement. The Janamat Party-led government includes coalition partners such as the CPN (UML), Nepali Congress, and the Democratic Socialist Party (LSP) of Nepal.
