Two people were arrested with arms and
ammunition during a joint forces’ drive in Khejurtala Ghat area under Rupsha
upazila of the district today.
The arrested were Asif Mahmud, 29, and Sheikh Mahmud Hasan, 38, Rupsha
Station Coast Guard disclosed the matter at a press conference here.
Coast Guard officials said, being informed, a joint team of CG and Police
conducted the drive in the area and arrested them with the arms and
ammunition.
The arrested persons and seized arms and ammunitions were handed over to
Rupsha Police Station, the officials said, adding that the drives will be
continued.
