A Dhaka court today placed Ekattor Television’s former head of news Shakil Ahmed and chief reporter Farzana Rupa on a four day remand in connection with murder case of garment worker Fazlul Karim.
As the duo was taken before the court today, police pleaded for a 10-day remand for the sake of proper investigation.
Following a short hearing, the court ordered to place the couple on 4-day remand each.
Earlier on Wednesday, they were detained at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka while they were trying to leave the country for Paris.
