Lalitpur: The Kanti Highway has been shut until further notice to mitigate the risk of potential disaster from the incessant rains since Friday. Movement of all types of vehicles has been prevented along the route, according to the District Administration Office (DAO), Lalitpur.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Meteorological Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has predicted that monsoon-related activities have intensified in various provinces, including Bagamati.
In a notice issued by Lalitpur’s Assistant Chief District Officer Gita Ghimire, the DAO has urged everyone to take necessary precautions against the increased risk of disasters and to use alternative routes in case of emergencies.
