Kalikot: Two roadways under the Karnali Highway have been obstructed due to landslides that occurred last night. The landslide at Gaganekhola in Shubhakalika rural municipality-1 of Kalikot has disrupted vehicular movement.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Gaganekhola is the most vulnerable spot along the Karnali Highway. Dipendra Chaudhary, Chief of Jumla Road Division, stated that there was no vehicular movement on the road due to the landslide triggered by incessant rainfall last night. He mentioned that it would take time to clear the debris.
In a similar situation, the Narayangadh-Muglin roadway has also been obstructed due to a landslide on Tuesday. The landslide occurred at Tuinkhola in Ichchhakamana rural municipality of Chitwan. Police Inspector at Muglin, Pratik Singh, confirmed that the road has been obstructed since 8:50 pm on Tuesday. Efforts are currently underway to clear the obstruction.
