Khaleda Zia’s Treatment to Continue Under ‘One-Stop Service’ at London Clinic

London: The medical board has decided to continue BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia’s treatment under ‘one-stop service’ at London Clinic, her personal physician Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain said. “Madam’s latest reports have been reviewed by the medical board led by Professor John Patrick Kennedy and it decided to undergo some more tests later,” he told reporters in front of the hospital in London on Tuesday local time.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, board members of Johns Hopkins Hospital, USA joined a meeting online. Then they decided to continue her treatment at one-stop service. BSS’s Dhaka office today received a video footage of Begum Zia’s health updates given by Dr Zahid in London. He said two more doctors from London will examine her health in the next couple of days.

Dr Zahid mentioned that a medical board with some additional members will hold another meeting within the next two to three days after receiving a few more medical test reports and then decide her next course of treatment. He noted that Begum Zia’s family members sought prayers from all for her recovery.

The 79-year-old former Prime Minister has been suffering from various physical ailments for a long time. She was admitted to London Clinic on January 8.
