Baitadi: The Dehimandau-Giregada road section in Baitadi district has been blocked due to landslides caused by the incessant rains. The road was blocked when a landslide occurred at Dasharath Chand Municipality-2, Sundarkhali in the district. With the blockade of the road, vehicular movement has been completely halted.
According to National News Agency Nepal, passengers returning to the Gaura festival are stranded on the way due to the road blockage. The spokesperson of the District Police Office, Inspector Balram Pandey, stated that efforts are underway to clear the road with the help of JCB machinery from the road division office in Patan.
