Dhaka: Light to moderate fog is anticipated in various parts of the country from late night to morning, as stated in a release from the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) this noon. The weather is expected to remain predominantly dry with occasional partly cloudy skies across other regions of the country.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, there is a likelihood of rain or thunder showers at one or two locations within the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions. The current weather patterns are influenced by a trough of westerly low pressure positioned over West Bengal and its neighboring areas, along with a seasonal low over the South Bay.
The Met office forecasts that night and day temperatures will remain almost unchanged throughout the country. The lowest temperature recorded yesterday was 13.6 degrees Celsius in Sreemangal, Sylhet, while the highest temperature today reached 32.0 degrees Celsius in Baghabari, Rajshahi Division.
In the capital city, the sun is expected to set at 5:57 pm today and rise at 6:28 am tomorrow.
