Madhesh Province Chief Bhandari Recommended for Removal


Kathmandu: The government has resolved to recommend the removal of Madhesh Province Chief Sumitra Subedi Bhandari from her role to the President. This decision was made during a Council of Ministers meeting, as conveyed by Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel, who also serves as the government spokesperson.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the Council of Ministers has suggested to the President the appointment of Surendra Lal Karna from Dhanusha as the new Province Chief of Madhesh Province. Additionally, the cabinet has appointed Additional Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki as the forthcoming Inspector General of Nepal Police, effective November 13.



The government has also announced that the 10th National Games will be held in Karnali Province from February 13 to 19. Furthermore, the meeting approved the National Identity Card and Registration Second Amendment Rules, 2082. In relation to the incidents of September 8 and 9, four more civil servants and 11 Nepal Police personnel have been added to the Commission of Inquiry.
