Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted that weather may remain dry for the next 24 hours over the country beginning from this morning. “Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country,” stated the forecast starting from 9 am today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the ridge of a sub-continental high extends up to Bihar and the adjoining area. A seasonal low lies over the South Bay, extending its trough to the North Bay. The forecast predicts moderate to thick fog at places across the country during late night to morning, possibly continuing till noon in some areas. The fog might temporarily disrupt air navigation, inland river transport, and road communication.
The forecast also indicates that night and day temperatures may rise slightly over the country. On Wednesday, the country’s maximum temperature was recorded at 30.6 degrees Celsius in Teknaf, while the minimum temperature today was recorded at 10.7 degrees Celsius in Baghabari, under the Rajshahi division.
In the capital, the sun is expected to set today at 5:38 pm and rise tomorrow at 6:42 am.
