Minister Dr Timilsina Dispels Social Media Rumors of Mobile Distribution to Ministers


Chhahare: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Dr Bikram Timilsina, has emphasized the need to verify the authenticity of information circulated on social media. He clarified that the rumors regarding the distribution of new mobile phones to ministers are unfounded and misleading during an interaction with locals at Chhahare bazaar in Likhu rural municipality-6, Nuwakot district.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister Dr Timilsina expressed concern that the spread of such misinformation might be an ill-intentioned attempt to undermine public trust in the government. He stressed the importance of verifying information and ensuring its truthfulness before dissemination. The minister underscored the government’s commitment to not misusing state resources funded by citizens’ taxes.



He also encouraged the public to remain vigilant and alert the government if they suspect misuse of taxpayer money. Dr Timilsina highlighted Prime Minister Balendra Shah’s firm stance on zero tolerance towards corruption, assuring that the government is committed to taking action against irregularities.



The minister acknowledged the current challenges of slow development and bureaucratic inefficiency, but assured that efforts are underway to achieve tangible results. He emphasized that the government prioritizes actions and outcomes over rhetoric.



Dr Timilsina reminded that development is a gradual process requiring patience and cooperation from citizens. He assured locals in Nuwakot district that he understands their expectations and development needs, pledging necessary measures to address them. The minister mentioned that the government is working towards completing projects in a five-year timeframe, which previously took twenty years to accomplish.
