Kathmandu: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, has issued a directive to the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) to expedite the implementation of the Rural Telecommunications Development Fund. Following a recent inspection visit to the NTA Office, Minister Gurung emphasized the necessity of coordinating with service providers to ensure the prompt realization of the fund.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister Gurung highlighted the importance of collaboration among the ministry’s line agencies to advance the Digital Nepal initiative, aimed at promoting good governance. He noted that implementing the Government Integrated Office Management System across all local and provincial governments would significantly aid in controlling corruption.
Furthermore, Minister Gurung instructed officials to ensure the nationwide expansion of 4G services by the end of the current fiscal year. Radhika Aryal, Secretary at the Ministry, also underscored the importance o
