Minister Pandey Urges Collaborative Effort for Cultural Preservation.

Kathmandu: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey has emphasized the necessity for the federal, provincial, and local governments to collaboratively engage in institutional initiatives aimed at preserving culture. This call to action was made during the minister’s reception of the Academic Declaration 2081, presented by the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts, Nepal Academy, and Nepal Academy of Music and Drama.

According to National News Agency Nepal, these three esteemed academies submitted the declaration to Minister Pandey in a concerted effort to ensure its implementation. Minister Pandey responded positively, assuring that the issues highlighted by the academies would be addressed gradually. He acknowledged the existence of legal complexities within the field and advocated for achieving uniformity across the academies to better facilitate their objectives.

The declaration submission followed a gathering organized by the academies on Monday, which brought together various cultural,
fine arts, literature, music, draft, and social science entities formed by provincial and local governments. This meeting underscored the importance of cooperation among different levels of government and organizations in the cultural sector.

Minister Pandey further pledged to implement the recommendations provided by the academies to the fullest extent possible, reinforcing his commitment to the preservation and promotion of arts and culture in Nepal.
