A five-year-old boy was killed after a truck ran him over in Sonapur Chaitailla Digirpar area on Raipur-Lakshmipur regional highway in Laxmipur Sadar upazila today.
The deceased was Md Musa, 5, son of Shahadat Hossain, a resident of Sonapur village under Sonapur Union.
Nur Hossain, uncle of the victim, said, Musa along with his cousin left his house to go to a shop next to the road. At that time, a goods-laden truck from Lakshmipur to Raipur ran over him. He died on the spot.
Raipur Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Amir Hossain said they recovered the body and seized the truck.
