Chitwan: The monsoon is gradually weakening with its low pressure line shifting to the south from the average position, the Meteorological Forecasting Division stated. This change is expected to affect weather patterns across various regions in the country.

According to National News Agency Nepal, the hilly areas, including the Sudurpaschim province, are likely to experience cloudy weather this afternoon, while the remaining areas will see partial cloud cover. The division predicts moderate rainfall in some parts of the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim province and a couple of places in the Terai region.

Furthermore, the hilly areas, including the Koshi province, are expected to be generally cloudy tonight, whereas other regions will experience partial cloud cover. Moderate rainfall is anticipated in some areas of the hilly regions of Gandaki province, as well as in the Terai, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.

The division has issued a warning about potential risks of landslides and debris flows in the h
