National Assembly Convenes to Address Key Legislative Matters


Kathmandu: The National Assembly is scheduled to meet today at 1:15 pm at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor. The session will focus on various legislative agendas, including a response from the Minister for Urban Development to concerns raised about the ministry.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the meeting will also feature a presentation by Maya Prasad Pandey, Chair of the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee. She will present a Study Report on Policy-Level Issues Concerning the National Parks, 2082 BS. Additionally, Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, will table the Social Network Bill, 2081, seeking consideration from the National Assembly.



Furthermore, meetings of the Finance Committee and the Committee on Law, Justice and Human Rights are also on today’s agenda. The Finance Committee will discuss the Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Bill, while the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee will conduct clause-wise discussions on the Nepal Bar Council Bill (Second Amendment), 2081 BS.
