Kathmandu: The central committee meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) is set to take place on October 14. The decision to hold the meeting was made following a recent gathering of the party’s office-bearers, former office-bearers, and the central work execution committee.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the meeting, which concluded on Saturday, decided to postpone the central committee meeting until October 14 due to the need for further preparation, as stated by NC spokesperson Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat. Dr. Mahat highlighted that the recent meeting addressed critical issues, including the impact of protests held on September 8 and 9 on the party’s dynamics. There was also a focus on the necessity for timely elections and the restoration of the House of Representatives (HoR).
Dr. Mahat emphasized the importance of addressing the involvement of Gen-Z in the upcoming NC general convention. The meeting was chaired by NC Vice-President Purna Bahadur Khadka.
