Phnom Penh: The government has initiated discussions with Cambodia to establish direct air services between the two nations. The talks took place during a meeting with senior Cambodian government officials in Phnom Penh on Tuesday.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey, currently visiting Cambodia, engaged in discussions with his Cambodian counterpart about launching a direct air service linking Nepal and Cambodia. Additionally, Minister Pandey met with Chay Borin, the Minister for Culture and Religious Affairs of Cambodia, to further deliberate on this initiative.
During the meeting, the two countries explored the potential for developing a religious and tourism network, specifically focusing on the Greater Buddha Circuit. The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation highlighted the importance of these discussions. Minister Pandey also addressed tourism promotion and other bilateral interests shared by Nepal and Cambodia.
