Kathmandu:The Nepal Bar Association (NBA) has established a committee to investigate recent concerns surrounding the judiciary.
According to National News Agency RSS, the committee is coordinated by former NBA president Chandeshwor Shrestha and includes former president of the Supreme Court Bar Association Purnaman Shakya, former NBA vice presidents Usha Malla Pathak and Surendra Kumar Mahato, and former member Chandra Prasad Kafle. NBA central member Baburam Aryal serves as the member secretary of the study panel.
The panel has been tasked with gathering facts and making recommendations to improve the image and status of the judiciary within one month. The decision to form the committee was made during a joint meeting of the NBA Working Committee and Advisory Committee, as stated by NBA general secretary Kedar Prasad Koirala.
