Pokhara: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey has announced that the tri-nation tourism expo will showcase Nepal as a significant destination in the global tourism market. Inaugurating the first-ever Nepal India China Expo (NICE) in Pokhara on Monday, Minister Pandey emphasized that this event would greatly contribute to the promotion of regional tourism.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the event is organized by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) in collaboration with PATA Nepal Chapter and Pokhara Tourism Council. Minister Pandey highlighted that the expo would enhance Nepal’s international image and strengthen its ability to attract tourism trade from India and China, which are two major tourism economies globally.
CEO of Nepal Tourism Board Dipak Raj Joshi remarked that the event is a proud moment for the entire tourism community. Over 600 participants, including 80 international buyers, 70 sellers, and 75 exhibitors, are attending the three-day event.
The expo aims to serve as a networking and business platform, facilitating the exchange of business ideas among tourism businesses in Nepal, India, and China.
