Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has announced that Nepal earned a profit of Rs 4.5 billion from power trade. He conveyed this information to the public through a post on a social networking site today.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Prime Minister highlighted that Nepal successfully exported electricity worth Rs 4.5 billion, surpassing its imports for this year. He mentioned that the country is steadily reducing the volume of electricity imports.
The Prime Minister further stated that while the power outage issue had been resolved for the general public in the past, it had persisted for industrial purposes. However, he assured that the power supply to industries has now been extended as well.
