Nepal Sets Target of 140 Runs for Melbourne Renegades Academy in Top End T20 Series


Darwin: Nepal has set a 140-run target against Melbourne Renegades Academy (MRA) in its fifth match under the Top End T20 Series underway in the Northern Territory of Australia. Put to bat first after winning the toss at Darwin’s Cazalys Arena Palmerston, Nepal scored 139 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 limited overs.



According to National News Agency Nepal, batsman Kushal Malla scored the highest for Nepal with 29 runs, which included one boundary and one six off 22 balls. Deependra Singh Airee followed with a contribution of 27 runs off 28 balls, while Lokesh Bam made 24 runs off 16 balls. Bhim Sarki added 17 runs to the scoreboard, with Arif Sheikh and Rupesh Singh each contributing 12 runs to the team’s total.



In terms of bowling, Melbourne Renegades Academy’s Fargus O’ Neill, Lachian Wads, Kyalam Sto, and Michael Archer each took two wickets, showcasing their prowess on the field. The MRA is currently batting against Nepal, aiming to chase down the target set by the Nepalese team.
