London: The Nepali Army has clinched a gold medal after achieving the highest score in the prestigious Exercise Cambrian Patrol held in Wales, UK. This event is recognized as the British Army’s premier patrolling competition, taking place from October 3 to 12.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Nepali Army team outperformed 117 teams from 33 countries to secure the gold medal, as confirmed by Assistant Lieutenant Colonel Anup Shah, Military Attach© at the Nepali Embassy in London. The rigorous exercise spanned 10 days and was divided into eight phases, requiring teams to traverse a distance of over 60 kilometers within 48 hours while carrying weapons and approximately 70 pounds (32 to 35 kg) of equipment and provisions.
The Nepali Army has been a participant in this challenging exercise since 2014 and has previously won gold medals in the years 2017, 2019, and 2024.
