Rajbiraj:Dr. Dila Sangraula, the General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, has highlighted the historical significance of Saptari as a “land of martyrs.” She emphasized the region’s crucial role in the history of political movements in Nepal.
According to National News Agency RSS, Dr. Sangraula made these remarks while serving as the chief guest at a festive greeting exchanges programme organized by Saptari Constituency-2 in Rajbiraj. The event was held to celebrate the festivals of Dashain, Tihar, and Chhath.
Dr. Sangraula praised the contributions of Saptari’s elders to the country’s political movements, noting that the Nepali Congress is committed to aligning with the people’s wishes. She mentioned that the party has evolved to include representation from youth, women, and all segments of society. The commitment to prioritize the desires of the people, she stated, ensures that women, youth, and marginalized communities have a voice at every level within the party.
