Kathmandu: Minister for Education and Sports, Sasmit Pokharel, has announced that the government is actively collecting suggestions through an ‘education dialogue’ programme to address policy and legal issues in the education sector. Speaking to media personnel at Dhangadhi Airport, Minister Pokharel emphasized that the ministry is conducting these programmes to gather input for a new school education act and its regulations.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the initiative aims to formulate an inclusive education policy by gathering suggestions from all seven provinces. The Education Dialogue programme commenced in Koshi Province a week ago and has since been organized in Madhes, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.
The Ministry of Education is spearheading the ‘Education Dialogue’ with the goal of integrating feedback obtained from direct discussions with stakeholders from all seven provinces into the new school education act and comprehensive education reform policy.
