Kathmandu: Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Abrar H. Hashmi, inaugurated and formally handed over a newly established computer laboratory at Gyanodaya Secondary School in Bafal, Kathmandu.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the new laboratory is equipped with 40 brand-new computers, new furniture, and upgraded flooring. It is intended to be used for imparting ICT education to higher classes. The previous lab has been refurbished and relocated to the primary section to enhance early digital learning opportunities. The statement from the Embassy of Pakistan notes that the first computer lab was donated to the school in 2013 and has been serving students for the past 12 years.
During the inauguration, Ambassador Hashmi encouraged students to utilize information and communication technologies and to explore emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, e-commerce, innovation, and fintech. Students and community leaders expressed their appreciation for the establishment of a ‘Nepal-Pakistan Friendship Society’ at the school. They also welcomed the Embassy of Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the school’s music and sports societies, as mentioned in the statement.
