Kathmandu:Newly appointed Chair of the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), Bishnu Prasad Koirala, has officially assumed his duties at the RSS central office. Koirala, who also serves as the Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Information and Communications, was welcomed by General Manager Sandeep Rai and various departmental heads upon his arrival.
According to National News Agency RSS, Koirala highlighted the importance of advancing the organizational and management survey of RSS and expressed his commitment to continuing the recruitment process. He also took the opportunity to inspect the reporting, editing, and photo journalism departments.
Koirala’s appointment follows the transfer of the previous Chair, Dr. Udaya Bahadur Ranamagar, to the Ministry of Defence. Born in Shadananda Municipality-4, Bhojpur, Koirala has dedicated two decades to the civil service, holding various positions throughout his career.
