Beshisahar: An elderly man has passed away following a hornet sting in the district.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the victim, identified as 82-year-old Yagya Nidhi Tiwari from Beshisahar municipality-11, succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical care at Old Medical College, Chitwan. Tiwari was stung by a hornet on Sunday evening.
Shiva Prasad Joshi, the chair of ward no 11 from Beshisahar municipality, shared information about Tiwari’s tragic death. He stated, “Tiwari was seriously injured by the hornet sting in the locality. Although he was rushed to the Province Hospital, Lamjung, he was later referred to a more advanced health facility.”
Raj Koshor Shah, Information Officer at the District Police Office in Lamjung, reported that Tiwari’s body would be kept at the Chitwan-based Hospital for a postmortem. The family will receive the body after the procedure.
