Dhaka: One dengue patient died while eight others were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the period, one patient was hospitalized in Khulna, one in Mymensingh, three in Dhaka North city, while three were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka South.
The total number of dengue cases rose to 1,258, with 11 deaths reported this year. Last year, the total number of cases rose to 101,214, with 575 deaths from dengue disease reported, the statement from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) added.
