Kathmandu: Two Federal Parliament Committees, the Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee and the Legislative Management Committee, are convening today to address significant national issues. The Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee is set to engage in discussions with the Ministry of Forest and Environment. The focus of this meeting will be the challenges identified in revising the environmental management plan within the environmental impact assessment report of the hydropower project.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Legislative Management Committee will conduct a clause-wise discussion on the ‘Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080’. These meetings signify critical steps in addressing environmental and legislative issues within the nation, highlighting the ongoing efforts to improve governance and resource management.
