Mahendranagar: Senior Vice Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Narayan Kaji Shrestha, has said his party was in dire need of transformation. “Transformation revitalizes the revolutionary party,” he said while addressing a press conference organized by the Press Centre in Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur on Monday. The Maoist Centre needs to move ahead with a leading role to ensure social justice and prosperity. Only transformed party can lead the campaign for such cause, Shrestha reiterated.
According to National News Agency Nepal, he also argued the transformation further paves way for leftist unity. In his view, the country can not remain in status quo for long. So, a positive intervention is imperative, which Shrestha said, would foil anarchy and regression. He noted that his party had floated a proposal of leftist unity and urged other parties to form talk teams in this regard.
