Passengers Flock Tribhuvan International Airport After Reopening

Kathmandu: The Tribhuvan International Airport, which had been closed since Tuesday afternoon due to a Gen-Z protest, is now bustling with passengers following its reopening this evening.

According to National News Agency Nepal, TIA General Manager Hansraj Pandey reported a surge in the number of passengers traveling abroad after the TIA Security Committee’s decision to reopen the airport. “The airport was closed since 3:30 pm on Tuesday due to the protest. But the number of passengers has increased after it reopened earlier today,” Pandey stated.

Following the reopening, the TIA administration has advised passengers to coordinate with their ticketing agencies or the respective airlines before heading to the airport.
