PM Karki Directs Subordinates to Align Services with Gen Z Aspirations

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has directed her subordinates to execute their responsibilities in alignment with the aspirations and demands of Generation Z. PM Karki issued this directive during the first quarterly review meeting of the programs conducted under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. This meeting also served as a ministry-level development problem resolution committee meeting, where the Prime Minister encouraged government officials to work with high morale to ensure that project goals are achieved on schedule.

According to National News Agency Nepal, the Prime Minister further instructed officials to provide timely updates on the damages to property at the Prime Minister’s office incurred during recent Gen Z protests. She suggested that a unified report on the losses, including information from other public offices, should be prepared.

PM Karki emphasized the importance of the electronic procurement system, highlighting its sensitivity due to its connection with public procurement, and stressed the need for timely upgrades and management of necessary equipment for this service.

She reassured that her office is committed to facilitating, coordinating, and monitoring activities carried out by concerned bodies with the aim of removing the country from the ‘grey list.’ The Prime Minister reiterated her government’s commitment to controlling corruption and ensuring good governance, highlighting the need for the National Vigilance Centre to take additional initiatives to monitor public services for fairness and justice.
