PM Karki Invites Political Parties for Pre-Election Meeting


Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has extended an invitation to seven political parties that were represented in the recently dissolved House of Representatives, aiming to discuss the upcoming election. The interim government under PM Karki’s leadership has been tasked with organizing the election scheduled for March 5.



According to National News Agency Nepal, official letters have been dispatched to the seven political parties for a meeting at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, set for 4:00 pm on October 21. Ram Rawal, the Press Coordinator for PM Karki, stated that two high-level representatives from each party have been requested to participate in the discussion.



The political parties invited to the meeting are the Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), CPN (Maoist Centre), Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Janamat Party, and Nagarik Unmukti Party. This meeting is a crucial step in the preparation for the forthcoming election, as the interim government seeks to ensure a smooth electoral process.
