PM Karki Urges New LDT Member Secretary to Uphold Integrity


Kathmandu: The government has appointed Deepak Shrestha, aged 46 and hailing from Gorkha, as the new Member Secretary of the Lumbini Development Trust (LDT).



According to National News Agency Nepal, following the Cabinet’s decision to nominate Shrestha to the LDT, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, who currently oversees the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, has instructed Shrestha to maintain the highest levels of integrity in his new role. “With trust in you, the government has assigned you the responsibility, so act properly and honestly,” PM Karki emphasized. She further highlighted the religious nature of the LDT, advising Shrestha to focus on integrity and morality.



During the announcement, Member Secretary Shrestha pledged to work with diligence and honesty, ensuring the LDT’s reputation remains untarnished. Shrestha brings with him 17 years of experience in engineering, management, and administration.
