Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed sorrow over the loss and damage triggered by flash floods in the northern Indian State of Uttarakhand.
According to National News Agency Nepal, PM Oli took to social media today to convey his sadness over the significant loss of lives and properties due to the devastating floods. He expressed concern and offered tributes to the victims of the floods and landslides, sending condolences to the bereaved families and wishing them strength and patience to endure their losses.
The Prime Minister also mentioned that as many as 17 Nepali nationals were reportedly trapped in the floods. He informed that diplomatic discussions have been initiated through the Nepali Embassy to facilitate their rescue.
