PM Urges Civil Servants to Support His Journey to Good Governance and Prosperity

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged civil servants to extend their support in his journey towards achieving good governance and prosperity by providing prompt services to the people. At a program organized by the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers to extend best wishes on the PM’s 74th birthday, Oli emphasized that birthday wishes would hold significance only if he succeeded in poverty alleviation, maintaining good governance, and fostering prosperity in the country.

According to National News Agency Nepal, the Prime Minister asked civil servants to fulfill their duties by treating service recipients with positive attitudes and supporting his priorities in advancing developmental works and ensuring good governance. He stressed that these efforts would translate into meaningful birthday wishes.

“We will not engage in corruption and will not allow others to do so. However, the nation has been placed on the grey list of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). This should end. I have nothing to gain on a personal level. We do not award contracts for commission. We award contracts for development construction. I expect everyone’s support in this,” PM Oli said.

The event was attended by Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, PM’s chief advisor Bishnu Rimal, Chief Secretary of the government Eaknarayan Aryal, and other civil servants. Additionally, PM and CPN (UML) Chairman Oli participated in a birthday celebration organized at the UML party central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur.
