Kathmandu: The Ministry of Home Affairs has dispatched a letter to the Nepal Police Headquarters to establish the ‘Dalit Desk’ to facilitate the investigation of cases involving untouchability, discrimination, and exploitation against Dalits.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Ministry’s Spokesperson Ramchandra Tiwari stated that the Police Headquarters has been instructed to have the ‘Dalit Desk’ and make it operational.

Additionally, instructions have been circulated to ensure the effective operation and management of Dalit Desks that were established previously in 77 districts.
