Dolpa: The Nepali Army (NA) has rescued five policepersons who had fallen sick due to freezing cold in Dolpa district. They were airlifted to Karnali Province Hospital, Surkhet.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the heavy snowfall on the route caused freezing conditions, leading to the policepersons falling sick while they were traveling to the District Police Office, Dolpa from the Area Police Office, Damdo in the district. The rescue operation was conducted in two flights, as informed by the NA Public Relations and Information Directorate.
Meanwhile, the Shreenath Battalion of NA has installed life buoy tubes at three locations along the bank of Gosaikunda Lake. These tubes are intended for use in emergencies to prevent drowning at the lake, a religious site in Rasuwa district. The installation process was conducted in the presence of local hotel entrepreneurs, the priest of the Gosaikunda Temple, and district officials, according to NA.
