Police Working Actively to Retrieve Looted Items from Gen-Z Protest


Hetauda: The police office in Makwanpur is actively involved in the search for items looted from various government offices and ministries in Hetauda during the Gen-Z protest. The operation includes the documentation and inspection of CCTV footage and videos posted on social media, which display the looted items and individuals involved in the looting.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the District Police Office has successfully retrieved items such as computers, printers, chairs, and photocopy machines that were seized by the protestors. The recovered items have been returned to the respective offices.



Deputy Superintendent of Police, Shyamu Aryal, reported that the search operation led to the recovery of four computers, two cupboards, three printers, a photocopy machine, six chairs, a refrigerator, 31 sets of speakers, a fan, and a hard disk. These items have been handed back to the related offices, Aryal confirmed.



The Ministry of Social Development of the Province Government received its assets, including three computers, a laptop, chairs, and an induction stove. Similarly, the Health Ministry recovered items such as a printer, a rack, three chairs, and an electronic kettle.



In addition to the looted items, various other offices and ministries suffered the loss of in-house property and physical damages during the protest.
