Lalitpur: President Ramchandra Paudel has emphasized the urgent need for development initiatives that enhance the living standards of citizens. Addressing a special ceremony today to inaugurate the newly constructed building of the Lalitpur Metropolitan City, the President highlighted the importance of delivering effective services and promoting good governance.
According to National News Agency Nepal, President Paudel underscored the responsibility of public servants to address citizens’ concerns. He remarked that democracy extends beyond governance structures; it embodies a culture of listening to public voices and meeting their aspirations. He urged political leaders to evolve in accordance with the expectations of the younger generation.
The President emphasized that the youth desire good governance and called for collective efforts to ensure the successful conduct of the House of Representatives (HoR) elections scheduled for March 5, 2026. He stressed that these efforts are crucial to addressing the sentiments of the younger generation and to strengthening the Constitution and the federal democratic republic system, thus finding a way out of the nation’s current challenges.
