Prime Minister Oli Pledges Comprehensive Development for Nepal Including Karnali

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has emphasized the need for collective contributions to the government’s initiative aimed at making Nepal prosperous. Speaking at the Sisnupani Nepal’s event titled ‘Jurukk Karnali,’ Prime Minister Oli highlighted the importance of acknowledging both the positive efforts and the developmental achievements within the country.

According to National News Agency Nepal, during the program, Prime Minister Oli pointed out the existing developments in Karnali that have often gone unnoticed. He mentioned the construction of a university, a health institute, the Karnali corridor, a bailey bridge connecting Humla, and a stadium as significant accomplishments. “Karnali apples now find a market. Now, a blacktop road will also go to Humla. We all need to instill positivity and hope,” he remarked, urging for a more optimistic outlook towards the region’s progress.

The event, held at the Nepal Academy in Kamaladi, also saw Prime Minister Oli reiterating Nepal’s aspirations to transition into a developing country by 2026. He assured that the government would prioritize the development of Karnali, highlighting recent discoveries and future plans. He referenced the discovery of methane gas reserves in Dailekh and expressed intentions to export Yarsagumba, a valuable medicinal herb. “Unlike in the dark ages of autocratic monarchy, Karnali will get justice in a democratic republic. Nepal is being built and Karnali is being built,” he affirmed, signaling a hopeful future for the region.
