Kathmandu: Three different organizations of the private sector have condemned the anarchic activities including vandalism, lootings, and other violent acts that occurred on Friday in the area of Tinkune in Kathmandu. Issuing separate press statements, the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), and other organizations have called for assurance of their right to do business in a secured manner.

According to National News Agency Nepal, the FNCCI has deplored the acts of arson and lootings in private media houses, business enterprises, different offices, and business activities and has sought compensation for the loss and damage. The FNCCI has stated that attacks on public property, arson, lootings, and violent protests are condemnable.

The FNCCI has also urged stakeholders to ensure the security of the public spheres and to control such activities. The organizations emphasize the need for a safe and secure environment for businesses to operate without the threat of violence and destruction.
