Process Initiated to Issue Citizenship Copies to Flood-Affected Uttargaya Residents

Nuwakot:A process has begun to provide copies of citizenship certificates to residents of Uttargaya Rural Municipality in Rasuwa, who are currently residing at holding centers in Nuwakot following the Bhotekoshi flood on August 26.

According to National News Agency RSS, the initiative aims to address the needs of those who lost important documents, including their citizenship certificates, due to the disaster. Rasuwa’s Chief District Officer, Kamal Prasad Pandey, stated that the process involves collecting applications and issuing the necessary documentation to ensure there are no obstacles in relief and rehabilitation efforts.

The applications have been received from 202 flood-affected individuals from Uttargaya-1, who are now staying at the Pipaltar Holding Centre in Nuwakot. The District Administration Office collected these applications directly from the holding center. Once the documents are reviewed and verified, the citizenship copies will be delivered to the residents at their current location.
