Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said a process has been forwarded to ensure drinking water to people living in Dharan. Prime Minister Oli made this statement during a meeting with a delegation comprising Mayor of Dharan sub-metropolis, Harka Raj Rai, at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Prime Minister Oli emphasized that the residents of Dharan should receive a regular supply of drinking water and announced that the necessary processes to achieve this have been initiated. The federal government is committed to arranging the essential resources, including budgetary allocations, to support this initiative. “Convey this message to Dharan folks,” he asserted.
The federal government has already developed a detailed project report aimed at ensuring a consistent supply of drinking water to Dharan. Additionally, Prime Minister Oli underscored the importance of constructing a modern landfill site to effectively manage Dharan’s waste.
Mayor Rai highlighted that the sub-metropolis has appealed to the Finance Ministry to secure the funds necessary for implementing the drinking water project in Dharan.
