Kathmandu: Minister for Home Affairs Om Prakash Aryal has declared that the current government is firmly committed to enhancing good governance and tackling corruption head-on. Speaking to journalists after a cabinet meeting at Singha Durbar, Aryal emphasized the government’s resolve to fulfill its mandate.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Aryal clarified that the government was established with a clear mandate to conduct elections within a six-month timeframe. He warned that questions would arise if the government fails to achieve its objectives within the stipulated period.
Aryal further informed that a commission has been established to investigate the incidents that took place during the Gen Z protests. He assured that the government is determined to act in accordance with the commission’s recommendations, underscoring its commitment to transparency and accountability.
