Dhaka: Religious Affairs Adviser Dr A F M Khalid Hossain today urged the Qawmi entrepreneurs to receive business training for development of the nation. Addressing the Qawmi entrepreneurs, he said, “Islamic scholars (Alems-Ulamas) have engaged themselves in business, which has created employment opportunities. However, the investors should take training on business. If scholars become entrepreneurs, the development of the nation will be accelerated.”
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the religious adviser made the call while addressing a conference organized by the Online Entrepreneur Qawmi Uddokta at Bangladesh China Friendship International Conference Centre in the capital’s Agargaon as the chief guest. More than 2,000 scholars and entrepreneurs from different parts of the country participated in the day-long conference sponsored by the Online Tech Academy.
Khalid emphasized the need for initiatives for development, stating that creating a suitable environment for entrepreneurs is essential. He highlighted the importance of both government and private efforts to foster entrepreneurship in the country.
The event was presided over by Qawmi Uddokta Chairman Rokon Raiyan, with Qawmi Uddokta Moderator Lokman Gazi conducting the proceedings. Among the speakers were Group Director of Rahimafrooz Limited Niaz Rahim, noted writer and researcher Maulana Sharif Muhammad, Co-founder of IFA Consultancy Mufti Yousuf Sultan, and Co-founder of Qawmi Uddokta Mominul Islam.
