Kathmandu: Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, Park Tae-Young, on Thursday paid a courtesy call on Minister for Forest and Environment, Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri. During the meeting at the Ministry, the two discussed matters relating to the bilateral relations that were formally established in 1974 AD, adding that such meetings would contribute to further strengthening such ties.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Minister highlighted that Nepal had successfully raised the matter of carbon trade at the recent COP 29. He emphasized the importance of South Korean support in Nepal’s development initiatives and expressed hope for the continued cooperation between the two nations. The discussions underscored the longstanding relationship and mutual interests shared by Nepal and South Korea, particularly in environmental and developmental sectors.
